World Ag Show, North America

Ray Williams, Director of Technical Operations, recently spoke at the World Ag Expo on the benefits of individual dairy cow health records and how our software and weighing solutions can help dairy farmers maximize their profits and animal health.

The World Ag Expo is an annual agricultural trade show held in Tulare, California. The event, which began in 1968, is the largest agricultural trade show in the world, attracting more than 100,000 attendees and over 1,500 exhibitors each year.

Ray's presentation concentrated on the importance of utilizing modern animal management tools and software to track individual cow health data and how through leveraging the latest technology, farmers could save time, reduce costs, and improve overall herd health, productivity and profitability. Including,:

  • How Gallagher's EID tag readers and weigh scales, can help farmers track individual cow health data in a fast, accurate, and efficient manner, enabling farmers to identify and address health issues promptly, and preventing the spread of disease and reducing the need for antibiotics.

  • How Gallagher's animal performance software makes it easy to analyze cow health data, and genetic performance to make informed decisions. The Gallagher Animal Performance cloud and phone app software allow farmers to track cow and calf performance over time and record treatments and observations, in addition to other regulatory requirements that need to be recorded and reported.

Gallagher's involvement at the World Ag Show in Tulare, California was part of the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) initiative to highlight New Zealand-based companies and their innovative technologies in the global market.
