Tina Cleary has always thought of herself as a helpful person, and she has put that talent to good use working in Customer Service at Gallagher head office.
She can also relate well to her callers - her and her husband David manage a 320 farm near Waitoa, and she makes the commute every day swapping overalls for office wear, often to help customers out with equipment she may have been using only that morning.
Always keen to have a career off the farm and having a long successful background in customer services with a freight company and Kresta blinds, Tina has found the transition to Gallagher one that brings plenty of challenges, with the wide range of Gallagher equipment ensuring plenty of variety and challenge when it comes to helping people out over the phone.
After a long list of new products being released by Gallagher in the past year, and getting a chance to try a few first hand, Tina names the Insulated Line Post Fence system as a particular favourite.
"It is a very user-friendly system, the posts are not heavy at all and they can be set up very easily, that's important for women who are farming too."
She is also a big fan of the Smartfence, combining four wires into an easily moved portable fence. The staked pole has proven ideal for keeping the cows at home from coming onto the lawn when they are in the house paddock.
"We have not put up our back fence yet around the house, and this works so well we have delayed doing it!"
Tina and David live on the property at Waitoa with their twin sons Jayden and Zane, and Kaleb.
