• Is the Every Day plan really free, and what are its limitations? 

Yes. Every Day is completely free. You have access to essential features and basic data viewing. There is also a threshold of 10,000 animal records for Every Day accounts. Once you have exceeded this number, you will experience some certain feature limitations (like completing NAIT/NLIS transfers on the mobile app for users based in New Zealand and Australia*). You will also miss out on seamless cloud integration with our API partners, advanced reporting features, and the ability to use your phone as a weigh scale when using the Gallagher Wireless Load Bars. 

• How does Plus pricing work for larger herds (500+ animals)? 

Animal Performance Plus pricing is tiered based on herd size: L1 (up to 500 animals) is $300/year, L2 (501-3,000 animals) is $599/year, and L3 (3,001+ animals) is $999/year. You can also pay monthly at $25, $60, or $100 respectively.  

• Do your prices include GST?

Australia - Yes.

North America, New Zealand and Rest of the World - No. 

• Can I try the paid features before committing to a subscription? 

We offer a 60-day trial of Animal Performance Plus. 
We do not offer a trial of Animal Performance Lite. 

• What happens after my free trial ends? 

Five days before your trial ends, you will receive an email reminding you of your options to continue or make the most of your remaining days. 

• Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan anytime?

Yes, you can change your subscription at any time, and you can do it within the Animal Performance web platform, under the Subscriptions page.

• How do I migrate my data if I'm switching from another livestock management system? 

We are happy to assist you in migrating your data. Please contact your local Technical Support Team for assistance.

• What's the difference between web app and mobile app features? 

Our mobile app is especially designed to simplify workflow processes and to support field work and on-the-go livestock management (available in the Lite and Plus plans), while the web app offers more comprehensive data management, reporting, and analysis. 

The mobile app excels at immediate field tasks like searching animals by EID or VID, adding treatments and notes directly in the paddock, removing the manual pen and paper recording. You’ll also have access to animal records anytime, anywhere. Meanwhile, the web app provides more powerful desktop tools including bulk editing multiple animals at once, full data imports and exports, advanced reporting and filtering capabilities (available in the Plus plan), and complete animal history analysis. 

For example, when you spot a sick animal in the paddock, you can immediately search for it on your phone, record the treatment after administering it, and add notes or alerts. This data syncs instantly to the cloud, creating one reliable source of truth that prevents double-dosing and eliminates handwriting errors. 

The Every Day free plan has some features limited to web-only, while Lite and Plus subscribers get advanced mobile functionality. Both web and mobile platforms sync seamlessly, so your data is always up-to-date and secure, whether you’re in the office or out on the farm. 

• How many animal records can I store on each plan? 

On the Every Day plan, there is a threshold of 10,000 animal records. Once this is breached, some feature limitations will apply. 
On the Lite and Plus plans, there is no limit. 

• Which Gallagher devices work with Animal Performance? 

Weigh Scales: W-0, W-1, TW-1, TWR-1, TW-3, TWR-5. 
Handheld Readers: HR4 and HR5.  

• What exclusive device features do I get with the Plus plan? 

When you are on the Plus plan and have a TWR-5 (or a TW-3 converted via software upgrade to TW-5), you can: 

View the Pedigree Tree of the animal and display up to 3 generations on your weigh scale (you can view up to 4 generations when you log in to the web version of your Animal Performance Plus account). 

Create a Custom View on your scale. This allows you to display everything you want to know about an animal, at a glance. Your TW-5 or TWR-5 can display up to 8 historical data fields in addition to recording 9 custom traits. Plus, you can record notes and alerts against an animal. 

• Can I integrate Animal Performance with other livestock management software? 

Absolutely. We want to simplify livestock management and make it easy for you transfer data across platforms that’s why we are working to onboard more integration partners.

• Can I export my animal data, and in what formats? 

You can export CSV files and import XLS or CSV files. 

• Who owns my data and can I take it with me if I cancel? 

You have full control over and ownership of your data. 

• Can I download my data before deleting my account or cancelling my subscription? 

Yes, you can definitely download all your data should you wish to delete or cancel your subscription. However, please note that we are unable to support any data recovery requests once you delete your animal data or your account. 

• How secure is my livestock data in the cloud? 

We regularly conduct industry-standard penetration testing to ensure the security of your data in our software. Animal Performance has been in the market for nearly a decade, and is trusted by more than 25,000 farms and ranchers across the world with their 42 million animal records. 

• Is there customer support available, and how do I access it? 

Yes, we have local teams available to assist you.

• What devices and browsers are supported? 

Mobile - Android, iPhones.
Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox.

• Can I use this offline in areas with poor internet connectivity? 

Yes, you can ‘work’ in offline mode with the Animal Performance mobile app. Once your device is in cellular or wi-fi range, the data can be synced to the cloud. 

• What types of livestock does Animal Performance support? 

Animal Performance can be used to monitor the health and performance of a wide range of animals – not just traditional livestock! The system – along with our weighing and EID solutions – works effectively with dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, buffalo, and goats. Even those managing or breeding working farm dogs use our system. 
 
Conservation groups around the world use our platform to monitor wildlife like giraffes, hippopotamuses, elephants, and hyenas. This demonstrates the system’s flexibility in tracking individual animal data regardless of species size or type.  

• What kind of reports and analytics are available? 

With Animal Performance Plus, you can report on performance over time, check performance against target weights set for the herd, use filters to analyse a subset of animals, and compare herd and group performance. 

You can also do similar analysis and reporting with an Every Day or Lite subscription, but there are a lot more steps involved like exporting data and manually manipulating them in a spreadsheet.
