Territory Manager - Canterbury
Mark Maitland joined the Gallagher Animal Management team in September 2016. He was born and raised on the West Coast of the South Island where he spent his spare time on his god father’s dairy farm. From Hokitika he moved to Christchurch to attend secondary school at St Bedes college then went on to complete a BCM Majoring in Agribusiness. Mark worked on dairy farms on weekends while at school and university, he also travelled to Western Australia for 3 years in a row while on holiday from university for harvest for the summer months.
In his most recent role as Territory manager with Orica Chemicals Mark spent considerable time on farm helping farmers with dairy hygiene solutions and animal health programmes.
Mark is continually impressed with the performance and innovation of Gallagher products. “It’s clear the company prides itself on helping supply solutions for their end user whilst upholding a strong brand image in the marketplace. As a TM I get a buzz out of being able to meet new people within the industry and along the way provide farmers with new solutions to help grow their business”.
Mark and his wife Juliette own a 4 hectare block in Lincoln and are looking forward to welcoming their first child in April 2016.
Mark enjoys various sports with rugby being his passion, and is heavily involved with his local rugby club Waihora.
