Tom grew up deeply connected to agriculture, spending his formative years surrounded by farming and rural communities. With a passion for the industry from a young age, he went on to study at an agricultural university, completing an Agribusiness degree that cemented his interest in supporting producers and the broader ag sector.
Before joining Gallagher in October 2025, Tom built a diverse background across rural banking and the Wagyu industry, gaining valuable experience working closely with farmers, pastoral businesses, and supply chain stakeholders. This mix of financial insight and hands‑on livestock exposure now helps him understand customer needs from multiple angles.
Tom is currently a Customer Engagement Representative for Gallagher eShepherd, where he works directly with cattle producers to help them explore, adopt, and succeed with virtual fencing. He thrives on building strong relationships, tailoring solutions to different operations, and helping farmers unlock productivity, grazing efficiency, and sustainability gains.
A strong believer in the future of digital livestock management, Tom is particularly excited about the opportunity eShepherd provides to transform the way farmers interact with their land, their stock, and their business.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys getting out on the rugby field and spending time at the beach, two places where he feels most at home when he’s not talking to farmers.
