Daniel was bought up in Strathalbyn on the Fleurieu Peninsular, South Australia. At the age of 12 Daniel’s family bought a 120acre farm in the nearby town of Milang on the Lake Alexandrina, and from here his interest and experience in the agriculture industry began. The family farm started with sheep, eventually moving on to cattle and rearing calves. Daniel still currently runs a small hobby herd and has enjoyed the farm experience coming full circle with hand rearing calves with his own family.
After completing schooling, Daniel was employed on his Uncle’s turkey farm, working with both the birds and sheep. After this he moved into viticulture and broad acre farming before pursuing a career with Landmark, now known as Nutrien Ag Solutions. Daniel began in merchandise sales in Landmark Murray Bridge before relocating to Burra to serve as the Landmark Burra branch manager for 4 years. This developed a good insight into different farming practices in varied environments.
After this Daniel worked for Aussie Farmers Group for 5 years, building on client relationships and diversifying his experience.
Daniel is excited to be back within the agriculture industry where his passion lies. His goal is to assist farmers to find innovative, efficient, practical and cost effective ways to run their farm.
