For Brendan Ryan, the best things about his role are the innovative products and the people.
"I just really enjoy selling the Gallagher product and I really enjoy the people I work with and deal with. I enjoy the challenge of the role and doing something new every day."
Growing up on a sheep and potato farm at Burrumbeet, west of Ballarat in central Victoria, Brendan went shearing when he left school, then followed his wife's background by dairy farming for a few years.
Brendan's strong customer service experience comes from spending a couple of years in rural merchandising, as well as owning and running the Woomargama Hotel-Motel, which he and his family bought several years ago at the foothills of the Woomargama National Park in the Riverina.
The Ryans have also had a long-term interest in trotters, running a few horses for several years.
