Supporting Sustainable Agricultural Outcomes
Monday, 18 November, 2019
At Gallagher, we’re passionate about providing financial and educational support for people in the rural industry who are committed to sustainable agricultural outcomes.
One recent example of this is in Australia where Animal Management Territory Manager Chris Richards spent time teaching a group in West Moreton how to get the most out of Gallagher technology – that included the basics of electric fencing, best practices, as well as electric fencing tips and tricks.
It’s part of a new joint initiative with Landcare Australia which also provides grants in the form of in-kind fencing and monetary support. Named the Gallagher Landcare Fencing Grant, the programme was established this year and aims to increase our efforts in demonstrating our commitment to local communities and the environment.
In May, people within the agri industry including farmers, agriculturalists, volunteer-based community groups, land & cost care groups were invited to apply for an individual fencing project grant – up to 12 grants are planned for this year.
Gallagher began our partnership with Landcare Australia in 2018 when we were a sponsor at the National Landcare Conference and provided a range of fencing products to support several Landcare group projects nationally.
