Flood Relief Resources for Nebraska

Massive flooding has caused a reported $1 billion in damage to Nebraska's agricultural economy, with Gov. Pete Ricketts calling it the worst natural disaster in the state's history, with state of emergencies declared in 74 counties and 85 cities.

 

 

Gallagher has donated $50,000 in fencing supplies to aid livestock owners/managers who were impacted by the recent adverse weather events in Nebraska.  “The impact this unprecedented storm has had and continues to have on families in the state of Nebraska is heartbreaking,” said Dan Geller, Vice President of sales for Gallagher North America.  “But we know that Nebraskans are not only resilient, but also compassionate, and that we will all work together to recover from this.” 

Organizations, churches, and agencies around the region are working to collect donations — items and funds — to help those in the area who have been affected by the recent floods. Here is a list of resources collected by the Nebraska Farm Bureau of where you can go to donate time, money, or other resources:

NE Disaster Relief Fund

Nebraska Farm Bureau has established a Disaster Relief Fund at the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation to provide emergency aid to Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and rural communities affected by recent storms and flooding. The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit. Any donations made to the fund are tax-deductible.

100% of the donations will be distributed to Nebraska farmers, ranchers, and rural communities affected by the disasters.
